Lincoln Financial Network (LFN), the retail sales and financial planning affiliate of Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE:LNC), announced that Richard Rojeck, CFP® Managing Director with Sagemark Consulting/Lincoln Financial Advisors, has been selected by the Board of Directors of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) as its 2014 Chair-elect.

Rojeck will lead the Board in underscoring the organization’s mission to benefit the public by granting the CFP® certification and upholding it as the recognized standard of excellence for personal financial planning. His term begins January 1, 2014. He joined the Board of Directors in 2010.

As managing director with Lincoln Financial Advisors, Rojeck oversees regional planning offices in the Pacific Southwest region. Rojeck maintained a financial planning practice for over 30 years, working principally with high net worth business owners. He was included in Worth Magazine’s listing of the 250 Best Financial Advisors in 1999, 2001, and 2002. Prior to joining Lincoln in 1980, Rojeck served as a Naval Officer for six years.

In addition to his professional career, Rojeck served on the national board of the International Association for Financial Planning, as the non-profit organization’s President and Chairman, from 1993 to 1999. During his tenure, Rojeck helped lay the groundwork for the creation of what is now known as the Financial Planning Association, of which he has been a member since its inception. Additionally, Rojeck serves on the gift planning advisory boards of the University of California, San Diego and the San Diego Foundation.

Rich is a CFP® professional and holds a master of business administration degree from San Diego State University and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Oregon State University.
