PHILADELPHIA, Pa., December 12, 2019 – Nearly 500 employees, planners and financial advisors, along with their office staff and clients of Lincoln Financial Network (LFN) – the retail wealth management affiliate of Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE: LNC) – came together in November to help their respective communities as part of LFN’s first-ever Month of Service.

Volunteers in more than 40 cities across the United States planned dozens of charitable events and collected more than 5,000 wish list donations for organizations like the Ronald McDonald House.

“I will never forget the outpouring of support from our office,” said Bonafe Santos, an LFN business operations manager based in San Ramon, Calif. “Whether it was donating items or volunteering to cook dinner for families at the Ronald McDonald House, it was incredible to see so many of my LFN colleagues eager and excited to serve our community.”

LFN encouraged its employees, financial advisors and others associated with its two broker-dealers (Lincoln Financial Advisors and Lincoln Financial Securities) to get involved with their charity of choice throughout November to kick off the holiday season. While many helped Ronald McDonald Houses in cities such as Philadelphia; Hartford, Conn.; Detroit; Cleveland, Ohio; San Diego; Houston; Greensboro, N.C.; Kansas City, Kan.; Baltimore and Fort Wayne, Ind., others collected toys for the holiday season, volunteered at local community kitchens and even supported equine-based therapy programs.

“We are passionate about being good stewards of our communities, and that’s evident in the number of our colleagues, our advisors and their clients who jumped at the chance to participate in LFN’s first-ever Month of Service,” said David Berkowitz, president of LFN. “I am humbled by just how many charities we served and thrilled that our volunteers are already planning their next activity.”
