Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE:LNC) today announced the introduction of the Lincoln InStepSM participant education program, comprehensive resources designed to proactively help plan participants with all aspects of retirement planning. The multi-dimensional program provides tools to participants at every stage of retirement planning and includes a combination of educational content, products, services and multimedia that can help employees take key steps in the savings process.
"Lincoln has a long-standing commitment to the retirement marketplace, and we strongly believe that comprehensive and ongoing employee education is one of the keys to successful retirement planning," said Chuck Cornelio, president, Defined Contribution, Lincoln Financial Group. "Through the Lincoln InStepSM program, we’re delivering meaningful information and valuable tools to plan participants to help them address their retirement education needs."
Four key steps in the program include:
- Getting Started — learn the basics of retirement planning and investing through information designed to help people saving for retirement.
- Saving More — identify new ways to boost retirement savings by helping people understand the small steps they can take to help them make the most of their retirement plan and achieve their retirement goals.
- Investing Wisely — optimize asset allocation to fit individual risk profiles and the market environment.
- Stepping Into Retirement — explore retirement strategies and income options.
These steps help manage retirement planning and financial needs for participants through their various life phases including the job changes, getting married, having a child, and buying a home, among others. The high-touch program helps plan sponsors achieve their plan goals and objectives while providing plan participants with custom tools that best suit their needs including in-person online and/or print resources.
"We are dedicated to delivering plan-level support for plan sponsors while helping participants through all stages of their retirement planning," said Cornelio. "The Lincoln InStepSM program is another example of the many ways that Lincoln is motivating participants to take actions that lead to better retirement outcomes."
