Lincoln Financial Distributors, the wholesale distribution subsidiary of Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE:LNC), today announced that Jacqueline O’Connor has joined the company as a Relationship Manager for the Institutional Retirement Solutions Distribution (IRSD) consultant channel. The IRSD channel focuses on institutional plans and services designed for the defined contribution market.
Reporting to Marcela Curry, head of consultant relations for IRSD, O’Connor will concentrate on supporting Lincoln’s field sales teams on the West Coast through strategic planning, relationship development and research.
"Adding O’Connor to the team positions us well to further widen our Defined Contribution consultant relations footprint nationwide," said Curry. "Her knowledge and proven track record complements our deep bench of talent," she said.
Lincoln’s IRSD consultant channel now comprises five professionals including, four externals and one internal supporting IRSD Directors nationwide.
O’Connor has more than 16 years experience in sales, with a specialization in defined contributions and financial services. Prior to joining Lincoln, from 2002 to 2011 she served in a variety of sales positions with two units of AEGON Companies: from 2009 to 2011, she was a Relationship Manager, and from 2008 to 2009, she was contracted as a Client Development Consultant with Transamerica Retirement Management, Inc., San Francisco, CA. From 2002 to 2008, O’Connor was a Sales Consultant with Diversified Investment Advisors, Inc., Walnut Creek, CA. In addition, from 1999 to 2002, she served in a variety of roles with Mass Mutual Retirement Services, including Director of Institutional Sales, where she was based in San Francisco, CA, and a Senior Sales Consultant and a Financial Consultant/Retirement Planner, based in Springfield, MA. Earlier, in 1998 she was an Assistant Contract Officer with New England Financial, Boston, MA, and from 1996 to 1998 she was a Financial Advisor with American Express Financial Advisors, Boston, MA. O’Connor began her career in 1994 as a Client Services Analyst with Mass Mutual Financial Group, Springfield, MA.
O’Connor earned a master of science degree in financial planning in 2007 from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. She received a bachelor of arts degree in political science, in 1994, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA. She holds FINRA securities registrations 7 and 63.
