M.O.O.D. of America - 2015
Lincoln Financial Group’s M.O.O.D. Of America Survey finds overall financial optimism continues to rise. The latest research shows that 81 percent of Americans feel optimistic about their financial futures, up 13 percent since 2011. Those positive feelings are further augmented by 59 percent of respondents saying they expect their financial situation will improve in the next year, which is nearly twice the amount from 2011. Optimism and confidence are not translating into action-oriented behaviors, though. The data shows that only 1 in 5 Americans feel "very prepared" for retirement, protecting their wealth and handling income disruptions of varying durations.
