2011 Highlights

Lincoln Financial Group's Measuring Optimism, Outlook, and Direction (M.O.O.D.) of America survey shows that nearly three-quarters of American adults (72%) are "very" or "somewhat" optimistic about their futures, and two-thirds (66%) say that their lives are going in the right direction, despite three quarters believing that the country is off on the wrong track (74%). Women are especially positive, with three-quarters (76%) saying they are optimistic about their futures, compared to two-thirds (67%) of men. After a sustained period of economic turmoil, 68% of Americans say they are optimistic about their financial futures.
